Zimbabwe’s 21-year-old batsman Brian Bennett created history on Friday after scoring his country’s fastest Test century during the one-off Test against England at Trent Bridge. Bennett scored his century in just 97 balls as he led Zimbabwe’s charge against England’s mammoth total of 565/6. In fact, Bennett reached the milestone during the second session of Day 2 with a hat trick of fours against England fast bowler Gus Atkinson. This was Zimbabwe’s first Test centurion in England after 25 years. Murray William Goodwin was the previous Zimbabwe batter to reach three figures in England.
